Bohol Day 2 - Island hopping

Had our breakfast around 5:45 AM sa DBR2, buffet menu are rice, corned beef, mixed veggies, bread with spread. Hmm, di ako masyadong nabusog.. Medyo late na tuloy kami nakaalis ng boat mga around 7AM na kami nakadating sa place ng mga dolphins. I forgot the name of our bangkero but this is his number 09108242067 and charged us P1800 for 7pax na. I liked him cause hindi niya kami minamadali sa sched even though medyo late na kami natapos.
Ganun pala ung sa dolphin watching part noh. Theres a lot of bangkas on the area and whenever you spotted the dolphins, hahabulin mo sila..parang hide and seek. Nakakainis lang whenever the dolphins are visible on the area, other boats rushed to go near them and not just near, but pupunta mismo sa daanan ng dolphins! ayun, nawawala nanaman..So saglit lang tuloy kami dun then went to Balicasag island for snorkeling.
Balicasag Island
When we arrived at the island, guides directly direct us to those palutuan sa island. If you want to save, better not to hire guide for snorkeling dahil feeling ko e naloko lang kami dun kasi they will charge us for P150 each for the rental of snorkel and mask and another P150 each for the guide. Akala ko kasi malayo pa ung sanctuary yun pala nasa kabilang side lang ng island which is kaya naman lakarin and kaya din languyin ung sanctuary from the shore. We went to the sanctuary via small bangka and maganda nga siya but di ko din naenjoy kasi pumapasok ung tubig sa mask ko..haiizzzz..
We found Nemo!
When we finished snorkeling, we got back in time to eat. Yey! nakakagutom magsnorkeling e..We had this fish, stuffed squid and soup for lunch. Total of P250 each kasama na paluto.
Once your boat docked on the Virgin island, a lot of vendors will sell sea urchins for you to try.  P20 each, my friend was napilit by one of the vendors kasi when she lend her hand, nilagay agad nung vendor ung laman sa kamay nia, naawa naman siya so tinry na lang nia..I also tasted it with vinegar and it was ok lang naman..medyo slimmy lang..
Virgin Island
Adventure ang padpunta dito because of low tide. The boatmen where forced to push the boat kasi di pwede  paandarin ang makina. Ang daming starfish!! ^_^ Ang dami ding sea urchins..:S Nakapagswimming lang kami sa pinaka end ng island, madami kasing seaweeds sa ibang part kaya di din ideal..There are also some vendors selling fresh coconut and banana cue sa island.
We had our dinner at Alona beach. Van service from Dumaluan to Alona is P400 :( since malayo ang terminal ng tricycle sa Dumaluan. When we went back to Dumaluan dapat mag tricycle nalang kami kaso P250 ang singil and 7 kami!!! Grabe! So we just hired a car nalang P300 ata un.. I'll post our tabulated expenses on my last day blog..Medyo nagexcess kami sa budget cause of this transpo and foods lang naman..

Bohol Day 1

Got our roundtrip airfare via cebu pacific piso seat sale..P150 roundtrip each..:) Around 9:30AM we arrived at Tagbilaran airport but we couldn't leave yet because we have to wait for our 3 friends which will be arriving around 10:30 via PAL..Sorry nauna kasi kami nakabook sa piso fare so the other 5 of our friends got different sched and airlines.. Our friend referred us to our tour guide kuya Danilo - 09283223798 which gave us these rates:
sundo sa airport via van - P600
countryside tour with Danao adventure park (7AM-6:PM) - P4500
island hopping (7AM-3PM) - P1800

True din na mahirap magcommute papuntang panglao so better if you already have a transpo waiting for you at the airport..
We stayed in DBR2..Reserved two deluxe room that has 3 extra mattresses. I got mixed opinions regarding the staffs in DBR2 but in my opinion naman, all of the staffs that I've encountered are friendly and accommodating naman.

Beachfront of DBR1 & 2...Super low tide and even though theres a lot of people, keri naman..

Our twin deluxe rooms..

Tama nga ang mga sissies ko sa girltalk, DBR1's bbq is P25 each..Mas cheap nga ang prices nila compared sa DBR2. Don't worry about the distance, magkatabi lang 2 resorts..
Need to sleep early cause we have to wake up early the next morning for the dolphin watching.

Anawangin cove + Capones Island trip 2010

Via Victory Liner (around P250 each)
Ride a bus bound to Iba, Zambales. Just ask the driver to drop you off on San Antonio. The drop off point in San Antonio is where our manong trycycle/bangkero (mang willie -09183814562) will fetch us. Good thing sinamahan niya kami sa market to buy our food na lulutuin sa anawangin.

We arrived in Anawangin after a 45-minutes boat ride..Remember to bring plastic bags for your trash as well as pantakip ng bags during the travel dahil maalon dito especially when you leave at noon onwards. Boatride cost us P1300 for 2 persons kaya nakakuha kami ng discount. Hindi mismo si mang willie ang naghatid samin pero he has 2 more bangkeros which are both ok naman..

And here we are!

We then setup our tent on the designated camp site. There are caretakers who will somehow assist you in setting up the tent and don't forget to pay for the entrance fee of P100. We had to prepare for our dinner for the cove has no electricity yet and we only have a lamp for the night. Regarding Anwangin's beach, ive read some articles stating na biglang lalim nga daw sa beach nito.To be sure dun nalang kami naligo sa mababaw na part lang.

bird's eye view if you climb the mountain..Clean and peaceful cove.

On the next day, time to pack things and were going to Capones Island! No time to swim kasi derecho na kami uwi dun kaya wala ng banlawan,,Capones Island has white sand..We didn't go to the lighthouse kasi under renovation daw siya during that time..Water is crystal clear however super lakas ng waves during that time..

TOTAL EXPENSES per head - P1520

Palawan Puerto Princesa Day 3

Our Last day in puerto princesa...Island hopping!!
waahhh! This was last year pa so i kinda forgot some islands that we stopped over..
picked up by the tour van at 8am..off to honda bay port..the port is around 30mins aways from the city..

first island where we had our lunch..
activities: swimming, ,snorkeling..

Snake island..if you look to its aerial view, you'll see a long stretch of sand
which looks like a snake from above..good for snorkeling
Last stop, snorkeling in the middle of the ocean..i found nemo! hehe..
di ko nga lang macapture sa pic..

Went back to manila before sunset..back to the real world again..

Palawan Puerto Princesa Day 2

Went up early caus the tour van will fetch us around 8AM. 2nd day is for the underground river.. It took us around 1-2hrs ride to the boat port where they will take you to the island itself.. Better if you arrive at the port early so you will be the first in line...During weekends or holidays, a lot of people go there so expect to wait for 2hrs for a boat to arrive which will fit only 6 persons excluding the the bangkero..

On the way to the port..our van was fast, felt like riding in a roller coaster...

Drop-off point (about 5mins walk to the underground river)

Exiting the underground river

resort beside the port where we had our free buffet lunch c/o tour...

KaLui restaurant
a restaurant that has a traditional filipino ambiance..
great food and environment...10 mins from the airport

Palawan Puerto Princesa Day 1

Day 1: we stayed in dangkalan beach resort for 2 nights. The 3 day tour with accomodation for two is P5000/pax. I think this package is already good for the 3 day-tour.

morning:
Arrived at puerto princesa
fetch by Dangkalan resort van
had lunch beside the beach..by the way Dangkalan resort is a beachfront resort though when we went there it is lowtide..
1:00PM Start of our city tour..
tree house from the resort..too bad somebody already booked
 the tree house that time...

first stop: Crocodile farm..Here you will see a lot of baby crocodiles as well as the skin of the largest crocodile found in the philippines..

2nd stop: Ihawig Penal farm. A wide land with just fences, where prisoners are free to rove around the place. The prisoners who were just allowed to rove around are those with minimum security. Funny thing is that many of the prisoners also brought their family there and live in a small house..the maximum security prisoners are the only ones who are not being exposed..And also i heard that puerto princesa has a low crime rate.

3rd stop: baker's hill - a small place with colorful houses and garden. Whenever you get here, don't forget to buy their famous hopia in monggo and ube flavor. There are also stalls there where you can eat meryenda..ive also tried their halohalo at their restaurant and it was also good..

Went back to the hotel. At dinner, the hotel manager suggested to try the kinabuch restaurant just near the city..so the resort van dropped us there. We had baked greenshells and sizzling sisig for dinner...Yum!! Their prices are very affordable..around P100+ for the sizzling sisig good for 2.

After dinner we went for a walk to their municipal...Theres a lot of tiangge as well as different kinds of food..This is during the christmas season therefore most of the food being sold there were bibingka and puto bungbong..
